Town Hall is a new gathering place at 474 Main Street, in the heart of Highlands, North Carolina. The kitchen turns out seasonal Southern comfort food — smash burgers, slow-cooked pot roast, Creole shrimp & grits, smoked trout dip and chili cheese tots — served in warm, welcoming dining rooms with elevated rustic finishes and an outdoor patio and garden.

Come for a quick lunch between shops and trails, a drink at the bar in the afternoon, or dinner with the whole family. It's casual, it's local, and it's open six days a week.

On Main Street — and a short drive from Cashiers

Town Hall sits at 474 Main Street, right in the middle of downtown Highlands and an easy walk from the town's shops, galleries and inns.

Staying elsewhere on the Highlands–Cashiers plateau? We're worth the drive. From Cashiers it's about 25 minutes along US-64, and from Sapphire, Scaly Mountain or Franklin it's a scenic trip up the mountain for lunch or dinner.

Do you take reservations?

Not for everyday dining. Town Hall is counter service, so just walk in, order at the counter and find a seat. For a group of 12 to 24, call us at 828-482-7352 about a limited reservation. For larger groups or a buyout, see private events.

What are your hours?

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 11am–9pm; Friday and Saturday 11am–10pm; Sunday 11:30am–8pm. We are closed on Tuesdays.

How does counter service work?

Order and pay at the counter, pick up a drink from either of our two full bars, and take any open seat inside or on the patio.

Do you have gluten-free and vegetarian options?

Yes. Gluten-free dishes are marked GF and vegetarian dishes are marked V on our menu. Please tell us about allergies when you order.

Is there outdoor seating?

Yes. Along with the indoor dining rooms, Town Hall has an outdoor patio and garden.

Can I order takeout?

Yes. Order online for pickup, or call 828-482-7352.

Do you host private events?

Yes. We host rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, holiday parties, business dinners and full-restaurant buyouts. See private events or email events@townhallhighlands.com.
